Finn's Postcard
Dear Skipper
I met an alien on the moon. He ate stones that looked like cheese. It is 0 minus. It is pitch black. He drew pictures with stone. I had a helmet with a flash-light. he can see in the dark. he lives in a dark, dark cave.
From Finn.

Dylan's Postcard from Space!
In Room 9 we are learning to write postcards. Today we had to pretend we were in outer space and write a postcard to someone back on Earth.
Dear Matilda,
I am on Eden 6-a very cold planet. It has light-blue ground, three tiny suns and a blue under-ground.
It feels freezing, minus thirty-four degrees and pure torture. It has no sound.
From Dylan.

The New Hall
Outside Room 9, some builders are building our new school hall. Today they are pouring concrete. They have already poured some concrete and made it look fancy with rocks showing through. Today they are pouring the rest of the concrete and smoothing it out. The concrete is in the concrete truck, but the builders have to wheelbarrow the concrete in. It is really interesting. Miss Dippie had to put down the blinds so we don't get too distracted.

Our teacher is called Miss Dippie and she is new to Sumner School. She came from Nelson. She is a lot of fun! We have a special penguin friend called Skipper. He lives in Room 9.
