Dance Off!

Each day in Room 9 after Maths, we have a dance off to get us moving and ready for our next activity.

Our Amazing Matilda Dioramas.

We read the story of Matilda and made dioramas of different scenes in the story.
We discussed our favourite scenes in the book and designed a diorama. Then  we made our dioramas.
There is Bruce Bogtrotter, in the hall eating cake with Miss Trunchball and Cook.
Amanda Thripp getting thrown like an aeroplane by the Trunchball because she didnt like her pigtails.

Aiming Higher

At Sumner School, we are always aiming higher.
Here is a photo story by Ollie and Fletcher showing how we have been aiming higher in Room 9.

They took the photos, and made the photo story by themselves! You two are defiantly aiming higher!

Playing Touch, By Harriet and Stella

On Wednesday we go to play touch rugby with Room 13 and 14
First  we  have  some  warm up's and practice throwing the ball.
Then we usually play a game.
Next  we get in  to pair's and throw the ball to each other.

On Friday someone from each class came to do tile art in room 1. An artist from Nelson came to help us. We made the tile art for the earthquake. She told us to put the art in the ground. Here is my art.
