Today Holly from ASB Bank came to visit Room 9, to talk about money. She was teaching us about spending and saving and why it is important to save some of our money! Holly showed us different kinds of money and taught us the word currency. Currency means money from different countries.
She showed us how an eftpos card works. We know that the eftpos card talks to the bank and see if you have the money and then the money to the shop's bank.
Holly taught us 'spend some on you, and save some too!' so that we learn how to save some money for later on, like if we wanted to buy something that was expensive, like a new scooter.
